DESIGN INTERN
DRAW Architecture + Urban Design is looking for a strong Design Intern with 1-3 years’ experience working on projects in various phases–programming, design, construction documentation and construction administration. The ideal candidate is interested in collaborating with diverse teams on a variety of project types, with a goal of developing inspired, constructable buildings. Expertise in design and detailing, with experience in Sketchup, REVIT, AutoCAD and basic Microsoft Office programs, is essential.

ARCHITECT / DESIGNER
DRAW Architecture + Urban Design is looking for a candidate with 3-5 years’ experience who is committed to design excellence. DRAW is a fast-paced firm focused on creating inspired places for people to gather and connect. The ideal candidate is one who would thrive working on a number of projects of varying scales and phases at the same time. Expertise in design and detailing is critical. Experience in Sketchup, REVIT, AutoCAD and basic Microsoft Office programs, is essential. Experience in specification writing is a plus.

PLANNER / URBAN DESIGNER / LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT
DRAW is looking for a unique individual to join our growing team – one who is able to serve in both planning and design capacities. An ideal candidate will have dual degrees in Planning, Architecture and/or Landscape Architecture, and at least 2 years of applied professional experience.
DRAW is a fast-paced firm focused on creating inspired places for our Clients, through what we call our “radically resourceful” process. The right candidate would need to thrive in an environment where a number of projects of different scales and different phases are happening at the same time. EOE
SKILLS:
Software requirements:
Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD or Revit, SketchUP
ArcGIS / QGIS, Excel, are a plus
Qualifications, and abilities (no particular order):
Fluency in the theoretical and applied principles of human-scaled urban design, and how to translate those principles within site plans, zoning code, policy, and architectural / landscape architectural design decisions
Ability and desire to work with and advocate for the residents of disinvested communities
Familiarity with the comprehensive planning process, land use law, housing markets (particularly in disinvested neighborhoods), economic development, and urban governance
Articulate the principles of progressive transportation planning and how transportation networks impact the land use and design of project sites, blocks, neighborhoods, cities, and regions.
Ability to graphically convey complex ideas and design concepts to a general audience
Analysis of social, economic, and demographic data
Committed to social equity and environmental sustainability
Desired Training
Architecture / Landscape degree / credential
Accredited graduate degree in urban planning
