The Echo Ridge Community Center is a 3,000 sf multi-use facility in Topeka, Kansas for the Topeka Housing Authority. It serves the Echo Ridge community, containing flexible gathering spaces, offices and a protected zone for children to play.
The carefully-sited project has numerous sustainable features, including R-50 exterior walls, a planted roof, an enhanced mechanical system with an energy recovery function, recycled content materials, zero-irrigation landscaping and low flow plumbing fixtures.
This facility achieved all credits of the Enterprise Green Communities Program, a requirement of the Federal funding that made the project possible.
